Welcome to the refreshed Study Programmes page, which has replaced Foundation Learning.

LWBLA will seek to ensure all documents are up to date, but we would strongly advise you visit the relevant government department and agency websites to ensure you are fully up to date with latest developments and documents published.

LWBLA engage with members in the following ways:

Regional Learner Responsive Network meetings

We currently hold bi monthly Regional Learner Responsive Network meetings for members.

Denis Dillon, Chair of the London Central Network chairs this meeting, and Ashley McCaul, Vice Chair of LWBLA and Chair of the London East Network meeting is Vice Chair. Ashley McCaul Chairs the National AELP Foundation Learning Special Interest Group meetings, held in London and Coventry. Representatives from the Education Funding Agency (EFA) are invited to attend these meetings, and do send the network regular updates if they are unable to attend in person.

Next Regional Learner Responsive Network meeting:

Friday 6th December 2013 from 10am to 1pm
LWBLA Offices, Waterbridge House, 32-36 Loman Street, London SE1 0EH.

There will be representation from Ofsted, London Councils, and potentially a representative from the Education Funding Agency. Further details on the agenda will be sent out shortly.

National AELP Special Interest Group Foundation Meeting

Please note the National AELP Special Interest Group (SIG) Foundation meeting will be held at the LWBLA Offices on Thursday 19 September 2013 from 10.30am to 1.30pm. This meeting is FREE to AELP members. If you are not an AELP member you can still attend at a reduced fee, if you confirm that you are a member of LWBLA.

Ofsted Conference: Moving to 16 to 19 study programmes with a focus on developing work experience opportunities

Dates: Manchester Tue 15 Oct 2013 - London Thu 17 Oct 2013

This event enables senior managers to reflect on the key findings from the Ofsted survey ‘Lessons from the Foundation Learning provision for the new 16 to 19 study programmes’ and to consider the implications for the new study programmes and, in particular, in developing work experience opportunities.
