National Careers Service Partnership Careers Adviser based in Bromley. This is a full time, fixed term position expected to end in March 2018.

Prospects are recruiting a Partnership Careers Adviser to support the prime contract of the National Careers Service partnership strand, the Inspiration Agenda in Greater London to introduce and inform schools, colleges, businesses and organisations about the Inspiration Agenda project.

You should be proactive, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about engaging employers to work with schools, and helping schools to overcome barriers to work with employers.

Level 4 or equivalent in Careers Guidance is required.


Job Description

Support for the Partnership Manager in delivering the Partnership strand and Inspiration Agenda London plan for the National Careers Service in London

To inspire individuals from businesses, partner organisations, schools and colleges to become involved with the Inspiration Agenda project

Accountable for developing links with schools and colleges in London to achieve the activities in the Inspiration Agenda plan, working with teachers and school/college careers advisers

Accountable for developing employer links to support the delivery of Inspiring activities in London

Develop and support Inspiring Activities to deliver the Inspiration Agenda London Plan

Support CEIAG Forums and offer support to careers teachers in developing Inspiring activities

Develop materials and resources to support the Inspiration Agenda London Plan, including digital resources.

Contribute to the impact assessment of activities covered by the Inspiration Agenda

Maintain and develop links to key contacts relevant to the National Careers Service

Recording of key employer, stakeholder and education contacts on the Prospects CRM

Represent the company at conferences, seminars and workshops/webinars

Ensure adherence to the company’s equalities and diversity policy.

Other duties commensurate with the level and nature of the post.


Personal Specification

Qualifications: Level 4 or equivalent in Careers Guidance preferable.

Ability to develop and manage networks and contacts (employers; stakeholders; education & training)

Excellent organisational skills and ability to use ICT effectively

Strong interpersonal skills together with excellent relationship management skills

Excellent communicator and high level of presentation skills

Innovative, proactive and with a ‘can do’ attitude

Flexible and adaptable, self-motivated with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and objectives while managing conflicting demands

Able to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and evenings, as and when required

Willing to travel across the London area on a regular basis

An understanding of and commitment to promoting equality and diversity, and able to apply it to this role
